Monochromatic

Monochromatic items have been huge this season, so I thought it was about time I did a post on this trend! As much as I love bright colours, it’s always nice to go back to basics.
Black and white is a classic and timeless combination that will forever look good. You can always brighten the look with bright eyes and lips, or statement accessories. Above I’ve compiled a selection of my favourite black and white items for inspiration :)

Black and gold is one of the best combinations you can wear. It’s simple, glamorous and classy all at once. Black in itself is always slimming and sophisticated, so when gold is added it just gives that little something extra to the outfit. I’m actually quite happy to see Autumn returning this year, as I always love the fact that some days are warm and some are cold, which means I get the opportunity to change up my outfit combinations often. I’ve put together the above set as a kind of inspiration board for this season, including trends, colours and styles that I’d really like to try wearing over the next few months. Hopefully I’ll be able to go on a shopping spree soon and cross a few things off the list!

Velvet Love

I’m a big fan of velvet, because the fabric not only feels but looks soft and smooth. It creates an amazing texture that can instantly transform any outfit. My favourite colours of velvet to wear would be burgundy, navy and black. Seeing that there’s a lot of velvet incorporated into outfits today, I decided to create a little wishlist/inspiration board showing my favourite items :)
